Programme Overview

The Level 4 Diploma in Entrepreneurship provides an introduction to the main facets and operations of organisations. It introduces the challenges faced by modern day businesses. The qualification focuses on developing understanding, skills and abilities to equip the Learner with the awareness and aptitudes to be an effective entrepreneur, organisational manager and leader.

Correspondence

Equivalent to the first year of a 3-year Bachelor’s degree in the UK and comparable to the first year of undergraduate studies internationally (US, Canada, Asia, and Europe).

Admission Requirements

  • Typical Age: 18+
  • Entry Requirements: Applicants are expected to have completed a Level 3 qualification (e.g., A-levels).
  • International Qualifications: Equivalent qualifications may include:
    • High school diploma or recognised pre-university certifications (e.g., Grade 12 in Asia, Senior Certificate in Africa, EQF Level 4 in Europe, or a high school diploma in the US/Canada).
  • English Proficiency (for non-native speakers): IELTS 6.0, CEFR level B2, or equivalent.

Structure of the Qualification

  • Total Credits: 120 ECTS
  • Modules: Learners must complete 10 core units to achieve a total of 120 credits.

  2. Business Environment (12 Credits): Examines internal and external factors affecting organisations and how businesses respond to change.
  3. Personal Effectiveness (12 Credits): Develops time management, goal setting, problem-solving, and stress management skills for professional success.
  4. The Entrepreneurial Manager (12 Credits): Focuses on entrepreneurial leadership styles, innovation, and decision-making in modern organisations.
  5. Business Planning and Goal Setting (12 Credits): Covers the structure of business plans, strategic analysis, and setting measurable organisational goals.
  6. The Manager’s Toolkit (12 Credits): Introduces key management tools and frameworks for analysis, strategy development, and implementation.
  7. Managing and Using Finance (12 Credits): Provides an introduction to accounting principles, financial statements, costing, and budgeting.
  8. Managing and Using Marketing (12 Credits): Explores marketing principles, market research, segmentation, positioning, and digital marketing strategies.
  9. Psychology of Entrepreneurship (12 Credits): Examines psychological factors such as motivation, personality, and behaviour in entrepreneurial contexts.

Assessment and  Regulations 

Assessment Approach

Each module is assessed through written assignments, applied business tasks, and case study analysis:

  • Written Assignments: Evaluate understanding of entrepreneurial theory, management principles, and business strategy concepts.
  • Practical Tasks: Assess the ability to apply finance, marketing, innovation, and strategic tools to real-world business scenarios.
Grading System

Grades are awarded as Pass, Merit, or Distinction:

  • Pass: 40%-59%
  • Merit: 60%-69%
  • Distinction: 70% and above
Completion Requirements

Learners must pass all 10 units by achieving at least 40% in each. All assessments undergo both internal and external moderation by Awarding Body for quality assurance.

Professional Development and Progression

Upon successful completion, learners may progress to:
  • Advance to our progression course, the Level 5 in Diploma in Business and Management.
  • Second year of a UK undergraduate degree (subject to university acceptance)
  • Employment in business, management, or entrepreneurial roles
